TURNER, Billie Joy -- Billie Joy TURNER, 75, of Fairfield, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

No service is planned at this time. The body has been cremated.

Memorials may be made to the TURNER family. Cards and memorials may be sent to 200 N. 28th St., No. 50, Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. TURNER was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Missouri Valley, the daughter of Elmer C. and Opal SCHOFIELD FILKINS. She married Gary L. TURNER in April 1975 in Las Vegas, Nev. He died in 2002.

Mrs. TURNER was a wife, mother and homemaker.

Her hobbies included gardening.

Survivors include one daughter, Conne ALCANTAR of Hillsboro, Ore.; two sons, Thomas ROE of Cedar Rapids and Michael ROE of Fairfield; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard FILKINS of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and one sister, Beverly STICHLER of Blue Springs, Mo.

In addition to her husband, her parents; one son, Ronald ELE; one grandson; and two sisters, Irene FILKINS and Clara BEHN, preceded her in death.
