KIMMEL, Genevieve E. -- Genevieve E. KIMMEL, 88, formerly of Milton, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Rosedale Manor Care Center in Covington, Ky.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

KIMMEL, Genevieve E. -- Genevieve E. KIMMEL, 88, of Covington, Ky., formerly of Milton, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 31 (sic), 2008, at Rosedale Manor care center in Covington.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Kilbourne Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 2325 Crestbrook Drive, No. 5, Crescent Springs, KY 41017.

Mrs. KIMMEL was born Feb. 15, 1920, south of Kilbourne, the daughter of Hugh and Ethel TOWNE GILBERT. she married Walter JONES, and they divorced. She married Henry L. KIMMEL June 30, 1953, in Centerville. He died March 23, 1993.

Mrs. KIMMEL grew up in the Kilbourne area and attended Keosauqua High School. She lived in Milton for 30 years and worked at Fairfield Glove Company, retiring in 1982. She moved to Kentucky to be near her daughter.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda GRIGGS of Crescent Springs, Ky., and Jewel SCOTT of Scott City, Mo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, her parents; two brothers, Hubert and Sterling GILBERT; and one infant sister preceded her in death.
