WALKER, Lillie R. -- Lillie R. WALKER, 87, of Fairfield, formerly of Van Buren County, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

WALKER, Lillie R. -- Lillie R. WALKER, 87, of Fairfield, died at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery west of Keosauqua.

Open visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 10-11 a.m.

Memorials to Pittsburg Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to PO Box 513, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. WALKER was born Jan. 8, 1921, near Brock, Mo., the daughter of Robert W. and Vuda DOSS SCOTTON. She had been married to Henry HARVEY, Richard BRADY and Elmer WALKER.

Mrs. WALKER grew up in Van Buren County and attended rural schools. She lived many years in Canton, Mo., Keosauqua and Fairfield. She had worked as a short order cook and in a nursing home.

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include four sons, Richard HARVEY of Cedar Rapids, Robert BRADY of Fairfield, Dennis DYE of Springfield, Mo., and Roy BRADY of Southaven, Miss.; one daughter, Patricia HENNEBERRY of Paris, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Robert and Leo SCOTTON, both of Fairfield; and six sisters, Beverly WALKER, Della BAILEY and Dorothy PALMER, all of Rush Springs, Okla., Pauline ROBB of Des Moines, Millie YOUNG of Moline, Ill., and Wilma COOK of Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Melvin HARVEY; four brothers, Dwayne, Floyd, Larry and Cecil SCOTTON; and four sisters in childhood, Helen, Esta, Frances and Betty SCOTTON.
