Mildred OVERLANDER

Mildred OVERLANDER, 86, formerly of Stockport, died at 8 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mildred E. OVERLANDER

Mildred E. OVERLANDER, 86, of Fairfield, died at 8 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stockport United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michael Renken officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery in rural Stockport.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with family present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to Stockport United Methodist Church or Spencer Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the family at 28649 130th St., Stockport 52651.

Mrs. OVERLANDER was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Toulon, Ill., the daughter of Jesse and Faye FILSON HEADLEY. She married Henry H. OVERLANDER Sept. 16, 1939, in Mount Pleasant. He died March 30, 2003.

The OVERLANDERs farmed and sold Pioneer seed corn in the Stockport community until entering Parkview Jan. 4, 2002. Mrs. OVERLANDER was a graduate of Stockport High School.

She was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She had been a member of Stockport Library Board and LLG Club.

Survivors include two sons, Allen OVERLANDER and wife Carol of Stockport and Maurice OVERLANDER and wife Nancy of Osage Beach, Mo.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Nola HARLAN of Stockport; and one half sister, Sandra SILLDORFF of Metamora, Ill.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Sheldon HEADLEY.
