BOTTORFF, Lucille -- Lucille BOTTORFF, 85, of Sigourney, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, with the Rev. Sharon Benell officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery near Martinsburg.

Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral chapel, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Mrs. BOTTORFF was born March 9, 1923, in Ollie, the daughter of Adna and Edna PATTERSON HOLLINGSWORTH. She married Warren BOTTORFF Aug. 31, 1940, in Missouri.

Mrs. BOTTORFF attended Ollie High School. She worked with her husband on their farm in the Packwood area. She was also employed as a cook at Pekin schools, Dickey's Prairie Home and the hospital in Sigourney.

She was a member of the I'll Be Seeing You Club of Ollie. Mrs. BOTTORFF enjoyed painting china, doing crafts, sewing and mowing yards.

Survivors include one son, Carroll BOTTORFF and wife Holly of Eagle Point, Ore.; two daughters, Judy KELLUM and husband Randy of Branson, Mo., and Dixie SINGLETON and husband Loyed of Russell; one brother, Larry HOLLINGSWORTH of Sigourney; four sisters, Virginia BOTTORFF of Silvis, Ill., Maxine CHATWIN of Glendora, Calif., Beverly CONGER of Keswick and Lorraine SWEET of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, David; four brothers, Roy, Rex, Melvin and Marvin HOLLINGSWORTH; and three sisters, Donna TRESSLER, Roseanna HAMILTON and Linda HAHN.
