12 Jan 1922AUNT SUE EMRY DIED AT P.P.
Pleasant Plain octogenarian, Aunt Ruth EMRY whose 86th birthday was observed a few weeks ago, died early yesterday morning at her home. She suffered a light stroke seven weeks ago and has gradually grown weaker since.
Her maiden name was Ruth HODSON and she was born in Indiana on Nov. 5, 1835, coming to Iowa some six years later. Her husband has been dead many years and she was affectionately known as Aunt Ruth by the entire town of Pleasant Plain.
Her two children, Robert of Brighton and Sue at home survive.
