Marjorie M. WINTER, 88, of Libertyville, died Saturday evening, March 8, 2008, at the Jefferson County Hospital Living Care Center in Fairfield.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Suzanne Swahn officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Open visitation is from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
A memorial fund has been established.

Mrs. WINTER was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Fairfield, the daughter of William and Nellie DAVISON ELDER. She married Willard BOWERMASTER June 10, 1939, in Fairfield. He died in 1967. She married Russell WINTER Aug. 31, 1973. He died in 1997.
Mrs. WINTER graduated from Libertyville High School in 1939 with honors. After attending college, she received her normal training certificate and taught rural school. She and Mr. BOWERMASTER operated the Libertyville grocery store for several years.
Mrs. WINTER managed the Parsons College book store and worked at Ben Franklin.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville and First Christian Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include one son, Daniel BOWERMASTER and wife Deb of De Leon Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Carol MINER and husband Larry of Fairfield and Linda FORDYCE and husband Gene of Libertyville; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, J. Eugene ELDER, Richard ELDER and Merlin Charles ELDER; and two grandchildren.
