BARCUS, Floyd H. -- Floyd H. BARCUS, 71, of Packwood, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Des Moines Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

BARCUS, Floyd Harmon -- Floyd Harmon BARCUS, 71, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Family visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Cards and memorials to the family may be sent to 404 S. Fourth St., Apt. 210, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. BARCUS was born July 16, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ira Isaac and Josephine STOLBA BARCUS. He married Barbara Jean BROWN March 13, 1964. She died Jan. 18, 1999.

Mr. BARCUS graduated from Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was employed as a truck driver for Dickey's Transport in Packwood.

He was a member of Packwood Christian Church.

Survivors include two children, Tina SPENCER of Bedford, Ky., and Toni BARCUS of Fairfield; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Pat BARNARD of Des Moines and Deborah GLOVER of Cedar Rapids.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jacqueline WASSMER and Carol Sue FORDE.
