Douglas Glenn BAUMGARTNER, 55, of Libertyville, died Thursday evening, Nov. 16, 2006, at home.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Packwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established
to Noah's Ark Foundation in Fairfield.

Mr. BAUMGARTNER was born June 5, 1951, in Ottumwa, the son of Glenn Robert and Eloise Beatrice RUGGLES BAUMGARTNER.

Mr. Baumgartner attended the Ollie school and graduated from Pekin High School in 1969. He attended Indian Hills Community College. He worked for Carlson Concrete Company in Fairfield and had previously worked for Wapello Rural Water Association.

He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and hunting arrowheads, and reading.

Survivors include one son, Joel Baumgartner of Fairfield; his mother of Ollie; and one sister, Cynthia WAECHTER of Sigourney.

He was preceded in death by his father.
