SENOR, Raymond L. -- Raymond L. SENOR, 78, of Milton, died at 5:46 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Bloomfield Care Center.

A service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Milton Christian Church, with the Rev. Justin DeVries officiating. Burial, with military rites by American Legion Russell-Strait Post No. 483, will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Open visitation began at 2 p.m. today at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to Milton Christian Church may be left at the funeral home or church or may be mailed to the 405 E. Delaware, Milton 52570.

Mr. SENOR was born Oct. 6, 1929, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Roy and Lucy ADKISSON SENOR.

Mr. SENOR lived in several south-east Iowa communities where his father was superintendent of schools. His family moved to Milton when Mr. SENOR was 9 years old. He graduated from Milton High School in 1947 and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for the State of Iowa Bureau of Food and Nutrition in Des Moines for 24 years before retiring to Milton.

Mr. SENOR was a member of Milton Christian Church and served as church treasurer for many years. He also was a member of American Legion Russell-Strait Post No. 483, the Sunnyside Cemetery board and Van Buren County Historical Society and Genealogical Association. He had served on the Milton City Council and Seneca Area Agency on Aging board. He also delivered senior meals in Milton.

Surviving are several cousins including Gilbert BARGAR of Farmington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
