Helen Opal WEAVER, 95, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation, with the family present, will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1890 Libertyville Road, Fairfield 52556. Online condolences may be sent at www.behnerfh.com .

Mrs. WEAVER was born July 4, 1911, in Stockport, the daughter of Thomas Jessie and Essie Pearl PECK GIBERSON.

Mrs. WEAVER was a member of the Stockport and Fairfield communities for 83 years. She was employed at Universal Producing and Iowa Army Ammunition Plant.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, flowers and traveling. She also enjoyed family gatherings.

Survivors include eight children, Melvena SHONDEL, Howard GARRISON, Alvin GARRISON and Deanna COOKSEY, all of Fairfield, Helen WILKINSON of Sigourney, T. June WILD of Essexville, Mich., Charlotte POTTS of Virginia Beach, Va., and Roxanne McDOLE of Libertyville; 28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mada GRIFFIN of Fairfield and Meda NICHOLS of Mount Union.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Floyd "Ike" GARRISON; one daughter, Virginia WEAVER; one brother, Hugh GIBERSON; and three sisters, Hazel RIDGEWAY, Betty CARTER and Mamie BAKER.

Admin. note: Helen was married to a GARRISON first, and second to Charles Fred WEAVER who died in 1982. She is noted on Charles' gravestone in Memorial section 79, space 5, but is buried in Memorial section 80, space 2.
