Shirley L. Hervey, 68, of Keosauqua died at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Justin DeVries officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery southeast of Keosauqua.
Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with family present form 6 - 8. p.m.

Mrs. Hervey was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Fairfield, the daughter of Harold "Bill" and Beulah Calkins Weaver. She married- Wayne F. Hervey. They later divorced.

Mrs. Hervey grew up in Birmingham. She worked at Universal Producing Company and Fairfield Glove Company, both Fairfield. She also worked as cook, medicine aide and nurse aid at Center Village Care Center Keosauqua for 22 years.

Mrs. Hervey was baptized in the Christian faith June I, 200(?). She was a member of the Van Buren Veterans of Foreign Wa Auxiliary in Keosauqua for 1(?) years and had served as a guard and trustee.

Survivors include two daughter Deborah DeWitt and husband Da(?) of Bonaparte and Rita Jo Hayes ar husband Frank of Keosauqua; two, sons, Terry Hervey and wife Lin( of Birmingham and Ronald Hervey and wife Donna of Pulaski; I grandchildren; five great-grandchid- dren; one sister', Sherry Hall ( Birmingham; and one brother, Pa Jack Weaver of Mount Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by hi parents and one sister, Jeanie Hootman.
