STOCKWELL, Darrell -- Darrell STOCKWELL, 68, of Birmingham, died at 4:39 a.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

STOCKWELL, Darrell P. -- Darrell P. STOCKWELL, 68, of Birmingham, died at 4:39 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Birmingham United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Michael Renken officiating. The body has been cremated. A private family burial of cremains will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Open visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 127, Birmingham 52535.

Mr. STOCKWELL was born June 29, 1939, in Sioux Rapids, the son of Clarence K. and Alice WHITMAN STOCKWELL. He married Janice FULLENWORTH Aug. 14, 1965, in Marathon.

Mr. STOCKWELL graduated from Laurens High School and attended Morningside and William Penn colleges. The STOCKWELLs moved to Lockridge in 1972 and to Birmingham in 1992. Mr. STOCKWELL was employed as a production worker at Agri-Industrial Plastics Co. in Fairfield.

He was a member of Birmingham United Methodist Church. He also belonged to the Van Buren County Historical Society and Van Buren County Choir.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jodi KRAFT and husband Roy of Goldfield and Paula ZOLLARS and husband Doug of Bonaparte; two sons, Adam STOCKWELL and wife Melinda and Andrew STOCKWELL, all of Birmingham; five grandchildren; and one brother, Richard STOCKWELL of Clarion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dean STOCKWELL; and his twin brother, Donald STOCKWELL.
