Elden Donner GALLUP, 72, formerly of Fairfield, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at the Iowa State Veterans Hospital in Knoxville.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. A burial service will be held in the spring in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Legion Post No. 47 in Fairfield. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1380 W. Sixth Ave., Broomfield, CO 80020.

Mr. GALLUP was born Oct. 8, 1935, in Fairfield, the son of Lee and Jessie HOFFMAN GALLUP.
Mr. GALLUP graduated from Fairfield High School in 1953 and attended Parsons College and the University of Detroit. He later worked as a bank auditor for First National Bank of Detroit.
He served two years in the United States Army and was part of the first guided missile group which trained at White Sands, N.M.
Mr. GALLUP loved all sports, especially football and baseball.
Survivors include two sisters, Helen FULTON of Coon Rapids and Norma Lee BOSLOUGH of Broomfield, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Eldon Donner GALLUP, 72, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at the Iowa State Veterans Hospital in Knoxville.
A memorial graveside service, with military rites, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating. The body has been cremated.
Memorials may be made to American Legion Post No. 47 in Fairfield. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1380 W. Sixth Ave., Broomfield, CO 80020.
