YARRINGTON, Grace Ellen -- Grace Ellen YARRINGTON, 86 of the Brooks area, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, in Keosauqua.
A funeral was held this morning at Roland-Ritchie Funeral Home in Corning. Interment was in Prairie Rose Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in Mrs. YARRINGTON's name.

Mrs. YARRINGTON was born Dec. 19, 1921, in Avoca, the daughter of William Calvin PAGE and Neta Grace COURCIER PAGE. She married Cecil Theodore YARRINGTON March 20, 1939, in Maryville, Mo. He died Jan. 21, 1996.
Growing up, Mrs. YARRINGTON's father worked construction so the family lived in various communities throughout southwest Iowa where Mrs. YARRINGTON attended school. She and her husband farmed in the Bridgewater, Corning and Brooks areas. After her husband's death, Mrs. YARRINGTON moved into Corning for a year before moving to Red Oak. In 2000, she moved to Batavia to live with her daughter Mary.
Mrs. YARRINGTON enjoyed tending flowers and canning the produce from her large vegetable garden every year. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and writing letters.
Survivors include six children, Kenneth YARRINGTON and wife Elaine of Casey, Eileen BEAMAN and husband Richard of Greenfield, Nancy GREEN and husband Samuel of Yakima, Wash., Mary WEMMIE and husband Paul of Batavia, Billy YARRINGTON of Carbon and Dick YARRINGTON and wife Marie of Gravity; one brother, Paul PAGE of Anna, Ill.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill PAGE and Bernard PAGE; and one sister, Marie ROSS.
