BARROW, Charles J.

Charles J. BARROW, 85, of Fairfield, died Saturday evening, Feb. 2, 2008, at SunnyBrook Care Center in Fairfield.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield. A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Suzanne Swahn officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be given to the Bargain Box or First Christian Church in Fairfield.

Mr. BARROW was born July 21, 1922, in Jefferson County, the son of Charles H. and Adaline McCARTHY BARROW (sic - Stella Adeline McCARTY BARROW). He married Dorothy Marie RAINS Dec. 31, 1943.

Mr. BARROW was a graduate of Fairfield High School. He was an engineer for the ARN Pipeline for 30 years.

He was a member of First Christian Church, Elks Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a longtime volunteer for the hospital auxiliary and Bargain Box.

Survivors include one godson, one sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
