WOLFE, Eva A. -- Eva A. WOLFE, 98, of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at home.

Arrangements are pending at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.

WOLFE, Eva A. -- Eva A. WOLFE, 98, of Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at home.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Ted Munson and the Rev. Dan Munson officiating. Following the service, the body will be cremated, and burial will be at a later date in Center Chapel Cemetery in Keosauqua.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

A memorial has been established to First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. WOLFE was born Jan. 13, 1910, in Stockport, the daughter of Marion J. and Hattie F. WEBBER MUNSON. She married Donald E. WOLFE Aug. 24, 1937, in Keosauqua.

Mrs. WOLFE attended the University of Minnesota from 1928-1929 and State University of Iowa from 1929-1930. She taught grade school in Stockport, Keosauqua and at Pleasant Lawn. She went on to finish her college education and graduate with a bachelor's degree from Iowa Wesleyan College. She then taught English and home economics at Danville and West Burlington public schools until she retired in 1974.

Mrs. WOLFE was a member of American Association of Retired Persons, Daughters of the American Revolution, Henry County Retired Teachers Association, of which she was president from 1976-1978, Daughters of the Nile, Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine, Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and First United Methodist Church of Mount Pleasant.

She enjoyed music, reading, sewing and dancing.

Survivors include one daughter, Sharon TIMON of Santa Fe, N.M.; one grandson; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold MUNSON of Lockridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters, Grace McTEE and Marjorie LINN.
