BAUMAN, Frederick Morse -- Frederick Morse BAUMAN, 90, of Burlington, formerly of Birmingham, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in Burlington.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham, with the Rev. Mike Renken officiating. Mr. BAUMAN's body was donated to the University of Iowa.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Mr. BAUMAN was born May 17, 1917, on the family farm, the son of Fred M. and Weltha NORRIS BAUMAN. He married Fran DAILY in 1978 in Middletown.

Mr. BAUMAN farmed the family farm for many years. He and his wife managed the Logan Apartments in Fairfield for 14 years.

He served in World War II in the Pacific Theatre.

He served on the Van Buren County Agricultural Committee and the hospital board.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Janete FRIDLEY of Sioux City, Michael DAILY of Fort Madison and Kirk DAILY of Ottumwa; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
