SIX, Charlotte 'Irene' -- Charlotte "Irene" SIX, 93, formerly of Fairfield, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at her daughter's home in Denton, Texas.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield, with the Rev. Suzanne Swahn officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday in the church parlor.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 207 W. Burlington Ave., Fairfield 52556; Fairfield Women's Club, 300 N. Court St., Fairfield 52556; or Ann's Haven Hospice, 501 S. Carroll Blvd., Suite D, Denton, TX 76201.

Mrs. SIX was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Fairfield, the daughter of Albert G. and Ethel Faye ARMSTRONG SAUER. She married Roy O. SIX in 1946. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. SIX was a bookkeeper at Rockwood's ready-to-wear store for 20 years and at Martin's Drug for more than 30 years. She was a long-time resident of Fairfield before moving to Denton four years ago.

She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she served as deacon. She was active in the Fairfield Women's Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Nancy GLICK and husband Edwin of Denton, Texas; one son, Douglas SIX and wife Josanne of Ames; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Alberta SAUER BLOUGH.
