STEPHENSON, R. Vaunceil -- R. Vaunceil STEPHENSON, 76, of Erie, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at home.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Erie United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Friday at Gibson Funeral Home in Erie.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Mrs. STEPHENSON was born Dec. 19, 1930, in Stockport, the daughter of James "Nick" and Hazel HILL BOLEY. She married Glen STEPHENSON Aug. 6, 1950, in Birmingham. He died July 1, 1997.
Mrs. STEPHENSON was an elementary school teacher, having taught in Ladora, Selma and Birmingham and retired from the Erie Elementary School.
She was a member of Erie United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed traveling and went on many mission trips. She also enjoyed her flower garden and grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl SCHEFFERT and husband Rick of Calmar and Janis TENER and husband Larry of Riverside; two sons, Kendall STEPHENSON and wife LinMarie of Cedar Rapids and Kevin STEPHENSON and wife Jill of Edwardsville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Roberta STEPHENSON of Keosauqua; and six brothers, Ralph BOLEY of Birmingham, Wayne BOLEY of Keosauqua, Carl BOLEY of Birmingham, William BOLEY of Birmingham, Donald BOLEY of Birmingham and Nick BOLEY of Colorado Springs, Colo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Darlene DeROSS.
