SPRAY, Dorothy Hope -- Dorothy Hope SPRAY, 88, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Beatty Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. SPRAY was born June 2, 1919, in Fort Madison, the daughter of William and Hazel NYE BYE. She married Samuel Robert SPRAY Feb. 14, 1951, in Kirksville, Mo. He preceded her in death.

Before her marriage, Mrs. SPRAY worked at Schaeffer Pen in Fort Madison for 14 years. After her marriage, she helped her husband on the family farm in Hillsboro.

She was a member of the ALPHA Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Becky EWING and husband Lee of Stockport and Dee Ann PATTERSON and husband Mark of Wilton; two grandchildren; two brothers, Gary BYE of Cedar Rapids and Larry BYE of Fort Madison; and one sister, Margaret VICE of Fort Madison.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bobby; and one sister, Maxine.
