MARTIN, Darlene Fern -- Darlene Fern MARTIN, 69, of Ollie, formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at home following a three-year battle with cancer.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dave Elmore and the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A luncheon with the family will be at noon Wednesday at Fairfield Friends Church in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Cards and memorials may be sent to 117 S. Third St., Ollie 52576.

Mrs. MARTIN was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Robert Clair and Sylvia COLLINS GOLDSBERRY. She married Ronald MARTIN Aug. 6, 1954, in Lancaster, Mo.

Mrs. MARTIN was a mother and a homemaker.

She valued her family and friends and enjoyed her dogs, collecting knickknacks and candles and growing plants and flowers.

Mrs. MARTIN was a member of Fairfield Friends Church.

Survivors include her husband; five children, Rodney MARTIN and wife Rhonda of McPherson, Kan., Rhonda WONDERLICH and husband Terry of Ollie and Rochelle McCABE and husband Earl, Royce MARTIN and wife Bobbie Jo, and Reanea FRISBIE and husband Kevin, all of Fairfield; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry GOLDSBERRY of Le Claire, Keith "Butch" GOLDSBERRY of Rock Island, Ill., and Dennis GOLDSBERRY of Red Oak; and one sister, Clarissa RHODES of Kirksville, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy MARTIN; one great-grandson; and one sister, Karen GOLDSBERRY.
