Wed., March 1, 2006.Vera “Lucile” Tedrow, 87, of Fairfield died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
A graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Moriah Cemetery near Douds, with the Rev. Dave Peterson officiating.
Family visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Health Care in Fairfield or Hospice of Central Iowa.
Mrs. Tedrow was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Libertyville, the daughter of Ruben and Cora Brown Cubbage. She married George Vern Tedrow June 30, 1936, in Batavia. He died June 6, 1988.
Mrs. Tedrow was employed at Iowa Ordnance Plant in Burlington and Metromail in Mount Pleasant before her retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Grace Chambers of Santa Fe, N.M., and Marilyn McCoy of Kansas City, Kan.; two sons, George Tedrow of Booneville, Mo., and Arthur Tedrow of Denmark, Iowa; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Hyde of Clarksville, Tenn., and Irene Adams of Snohomish, Wash.; and two brothers, Eugene Cubbage and Robert Cubbage, both of Libertyville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
