Madeline “Maxine” Turner Parker, 82, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at home.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Suburban Heights Baptist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation, with the family present, will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to Suburban Heights Baptist Church. Cards and memorials may be sent to 703 W. Tyler Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. Parker was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Birmingham, the daughter of Guy Raymond and Nina Lyon Turner. She married Wilson M. Parker May 4, 1940, in California, Mo. He died March 25, 2000.

Mrs. Parker was employed at Fairfield Glove in the leather department, and retired in 1977.

Mrs. Parker was a member of Suburban Heights Baptist Church.

She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and two cats.

Survivors include four children, Judy Mathes and husband Chet of Oskaloosa and Ed Parker and wife Karen, Debi Ayer and husband Doug, and Mike Parker and wife Catrina, all of Fairfield; one son-in-law, Kermit Leppert of Richland; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Jean Starkson of Flora, Ind.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Patty Jo Leppert; three brothers, George, Harold and Donnie Turner; and three sisters, Donna Boese, Marjorie Smiddy, and Wilma Fleming.
