LUCCHINO, Anthony 'Tony' E. -- Anthony "Tony" E. LUCCHINO, 57, of Fairfield, formerly of Monessen, Pa., died following a brief illness Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday upstairs in Revelations Bookstore & Cafe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dharma Foundation student scholarship fund, dharmafound.org, or to Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, www.aimshospital.org/index/donation-usa.html .

Mr. LUCCHINO was born Aug. 17, 1950, in North Charleroi, Pa., the son of Dominic and Angeline TALARICO LUCCHINO.

Mr. LUCCHINO was a 1969 graduate of Monessen High School and attended Allegheny County Community College. He moved to Iowa in 1981 and was employed as a lab technician at Genetic ID in Fairfield.

He was a former member of St. Cajetan Roman Catholic Church.

He was a baseball fan. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, John D. LUCCHINO of Latrobe, Pa., and one sister, Linda BALDINI of Rostraver Township, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John TALARICO, Concetta DeCARO TALARICO and Antonio and Maria CARUSO LUCCHINO and stepgrandmother, Maria STAFFIERI TALARICO.
