DICKERSON, Wendell Jay -- Wendell Jay DICKERSON, 49, of Keosauqua, died Thursday afternoon, Nov. 29, 2007, at home.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Elder Bill Huntoon officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 4 p.m. followed by family visitation until 5 p.m.

Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 33, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. DICKERSON was born Feb. 20, 1958, in Keosauqua, the son of Willard and Helen and PARK DICKERSON. He married Alice SCEARCY Nov. 15, 1980.

Mr. DICKERSON graduated from Harmony High School in 1976. He lived his life in Van Buren County and had worked at Dexter Apache Holdings Inc. in Fairfield since 1990.

Mr. DICKERSON was a member of Fairfield Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a past master of Keosauqua Lodge No. 10 AF & AM and was a York and Scottish Rite Mason. He had been a Shriner and DeMolay and Rainbow Dad and a member of Ottumwa and Mount Pleasant Shrine clubs and Twin City Chapter No. 258 Order of the Eastern Star in Douds.

Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Connie DOUGLAS of Florida, Phyllis HAYNES of Florida and Cynthia CONNER of Iowa City; and one brother, Forrest DICKERSON of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Crystal DICKERSON.
