MITCHELL, Keith Eugene -- Keith Eugene MITCHELL, 82, of 208 S. Court St., died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
A graveside memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Abingdon Cemetery, with the Rev. Keevin Koch officiating. The body has been cremated.
No family visitation is planned. A register may be signed until 4 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2271 or Eagles Club No. 1927.

Mr. MITCHELL was born Aug. 11, 1925, in rural Packwood, the son of Lawrence Earl and Florence MYERS MITCHELL. He married Nathalie Ann HILL June 4, 1947, in Shawano, Wis. She died in May 1992.
Mr. MITCHELL lived most of his life in the Fairfield and Jefferson County area. He farmed in the Abingdon area. He also did custom grinding and mixing for farmers and was a Moorman's Feed salesman in the Abingdon area. He and his wife ran the Bogus Grocery for several years. They also owned and operated the Hub Restaurant in Packwood.
Mr. MITCHELL was a Cubs baseball fan.
He was a member of Fairfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2271 and served as Commander from 1988-1989. He also was a member of the Eagles Club 1927 of Fairfield.
He was a World War II Marine veteran and received the Purple Heart.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Louise HORTON and husband Dan of Council Bluffs and Donna Jean YEAGER and husband Steven of Martinsburg; one son, Larry MITCHELL and wife Pam of Batavia; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
