KEISER, Lyle -- Lyle KEISER, 87, of Richland, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield. He had been in failing health.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ollie Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carla Nelson and the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. American Legion Post No. 504 of Richland will conduct military honors.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials to the Richland Lions Club may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the famly at 32877 300th St., Richland 52585.

Mr. KEISER was born Dec. 12, 1919, in South English, the son of Samuel and Edna SAXTON KEISER. He married Elsie COX March 22, 1942. She died Oct. 21, 1969. He married Geraldine McENTIRE June 4, 1971, in Pollock, Mo.

Mr. KEISER attended South English schools and graduated from Kinross High School. He worked for Lockheed Aviation in California before joining the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. KEISER farmed most of his life, but also was a sheet metal fabricator, school bus driver for many years, employee of Fairfield Aluminum Castings Company in Fairfield and owner and operator of an upholstery shop.

Mr. KEISER was a member of Ollie Baptist Church. He was a former member of Richland Friends Church and a board member of Cypress Village in Richland. He was a member of the Gideon's, Richland Lions Club and American Legion Post No. 504 in Richland.

Survivors include his wife; four sons: Ronald KEISER of Baton Rouge, La., Donald KEISER and wife Jayne of Oxford, Kenneth KEISER and wife Karla of Athens, Ala., and James McENTIRE and wife Linda of Knoxville, Tenn.; two daughters: Twilla WESTERCAMP and husband Dwayne of Omaha, Neb., and Alice STORTZ and husband Butch of Birmingham; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Dorothy DURR of Davenport.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mae SHELBY.
