CARRUTHERS, E. Paul -- E. Paul CARRUTHERS, 92, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Van Buren County, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at Hope Hospice House in Coral Gables, Fla.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

CARRUTHERS, Edgar Paul -- Edgar Paul CARRUTHERS, 92, of Fort Myers, Fla., died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Fla.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bryon Wixom officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril.

Memorials to Grace Bible Church in Fort Myers, Finchville Baptist Church in Finchville, Ky., or Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 54 Chenault Drive, Finchville, KY 40022.

Mr. CARRUTHERS was born June 30, 1915, in Mount Sterling, the son of Leo Alexander and Flora Estella ELSE CARRUTHERS. He married Ruth Mayro ROBERTS May 11, 1940, in Kirksville, Mo. She died Oct. 20, 1993.

Mr. CARRUTHERS graduated from Keosauqua High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He then was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. CARRUTHERS lived in Keosauqua, Memphis, Tenn., and Cedar Rapids before retiring to Florida in 1981.

Mr. CARRUTHERS was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Fort Myers. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masons.

Survivors include one son, Ted CARRUTHERS and wife Jane of Finchville, Ky.; one daughter, Pam STRICKLAND and husband Joe of Fort Myers; and two grandsons.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Keith, Fred, Willard and Russell CARRUTHERS; and three sisters, Pearl CARR, Eva OSWALT and Vera CARRUTHERS in infancy.
