GWINNUP, Hazel Waneta 'Jeri' -- Hazel Waneta "Jeri" GWINNUP, 89, of Keosauqua, died Tuesday morning, Oct. 30, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Keosauqua. A luncheon will precede the service at 1 p.m. in Fellowship Hall and coffee will be served after the service. A grave-side service will be at a later date.

Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com .

Mrs. GWINNUP was born March 30, 1918, in Miner County, S.D., the daughter of Theodore and Julia GUTTORMSON SYVERSON. She married Donald Garth GWINNUP in November 1944 in Paris, Texas. He died March 15, 1967.

Mrs. GWINNUP attended and received degrees from Wessington Springs College in South Dakota and Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. She taught school in South Dakota, Pittsburg, Fairfield, Libertyville, Keosauqua and California.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna O'NEILL and husband J.C. of Burbank, Calif.; two sons, Roger GWINNUP and wife Donna of Oxford and Dennis GWINNUP and wife Connie of Keosauqua; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and ten stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one infant brother, Burdette; twin brothers, Milton and Milo SYVERSON; and one sister, Beulah RAMSELL.
