COX, Pauline M. -- Pauline M. COX, 86, of Boone and formerly of Fairfield, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Boone County Hospital Hospice.

The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fairfield.

Behner Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. COX was born in Jefferson County, near Glasgow, April 28, 1921, the daughter of Arthur and Ada HAVNER CRAFTON. She married Ernest Dale COX in 1941 in Lancaster, Mo. He died in 1977.

Mrs. COX was employed at Fairfield Glove as a sewing machine operator until her retirement in 1986. She lived in Fairfield until moving to Boone three years ago.

She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church.

During her retirement, Mrs. COX enjoyed puzzle books and walking. In earlier years, she enjoyed camping and traveling.

Survivors include one son, Donald COX and wife Betty of Boone; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. COX was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Pete CRAFTON.
