NEWBOLD, Corey -- Corey NEWBOLD, 16, formerly of Keosauqua, died as the result of an automobile accident Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, in Des Moines.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

NEWBOLD, Corey T. -- Corey T. NEWBOLD, 16, of Des Moines, died Sunday evening, Oct. 14, 2007, in a one-vehicle accident at the junction of Interstate 235 and 22nd Street in West Des Moines.

A service will be at 7 p.m. Friday in the West Central Valley High School gymnasium in Stuart, with the Rev. Lonnie Koons officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pittsburg Cemetery, west of Keosauqua.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the gym.

Memorials to the family may be left at the gym or mailed to the family at 1926 Burson St., Des Moines 50316.

Arrangements are in the care of Pedrick Funeral Home of Keosauqua.

Mr. NEWBOLD was born July 14, 1991, in Des Moines, the son of Charles and Diane NEWBOLD, formerly of Keosauqua.

Mr. NEWBOLD was a sophomore at Des Moines East High School and until recently had been a student at West Central Valley High School, where he played football and basketball.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.

Mr. NEWBOLD was baptised at DeSoto Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his father of Des Moines; his mother and her partner Donna SANFORD of Menlo; one brother, Charles NEWBOLD II of Des Moines; two sisters, Ashley NEWBOLD and Lisa OWENS, both of Des Moines; one half sister, Melissa COFFMAN of Ottumwa; and two grandparents, George and Joan MONROE of Spring Hill, Fla.

He was preceded in death by one grandmother, Ruth HAYNES.
