Rites for Mrs. Metcalf

Mrs. Iantha D. Metcalf, 91, of the Bethany Home, formerly of Lockridge, died Friday at 4:10 p.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Beatty-Jennings Chapel in Mount Pleasant. The Rev. Allen B. Cheatham will officiate. Burial will be in the Glasgow Cemetery.

Mrs. Metcalf was born Aug. 3, 1883, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Marcus and Rachel White Smith. On April 14, 1918, she was married to Frank Metcalf in Mount Pleasant. He died in 1949.

She was a lifetime resident of the Lockridge Community and a member of the Glasgow United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two nieces and four nephews.
