Fairfield, Ia., Oct. 4 - Margaret L. Bower, the 20-yar-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Bower, residing 14 miles southeast of Fairfield died Tuesday evening in the Jefferson county hospital following an operation for appendicitis. The funeral services were held this afternoon in the Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Owen Wilson. Burial took place in the Glasgow cemetery.

Miss Bower was the only daughter of the family and beside her parents leaves two brothers, Carl and James. A month ago she began teaching in the Glasgow school.
