BOSTOCK, Cathlene E. -- Cathlene E. BOSTOCK, 90, formerly of rural Farmington, died at 7:17 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Farmington, with the Rev. Philip Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery near Bonaparte.

Open visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Farmington, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

Memorials have been established to Thompson Cemetery and to James OILAR Missionary to Bogotá, Colombia.

Mrs. BOSTOCK was born April 30, 1917, near Donnellson, the daughter of Frank C. and Julia E. HOBBIN CUTLER. She married Gerald A. BOSTOCK Oct. 4, 1942, in Mexico, Mo. He died June 20, 1995.

Mrs. BOSTOCK attended Parsons College. She taught in rural schools in Lee and Van Buren counties for nine years and worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant prior to her marriage. She then worked at the Sheaffer Pen Company and worked with her husband on their farm. She had been a resident of Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka.

Mrs. BOSTOCK was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington and Van Buren County Retired Teachers Association. She was a past member of Order of Eastern Star.

She enjoyed traveling, doing ceramics and visiting with family and neighbors.

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra OILAR and husband Arny of Revere, Mo.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lee; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Nell SATTERLY; three brothers, Frank C. CUTLER Jr., John R. CUTLER and Edward C. CUTLER; one half brother, Paul CUTLER; and one half sister, Leota WEBB.
