ANDERSON, Dona Mae -- Dona Mae ANDERSON, 79, of Marshalltown, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 2, 2007, at Grandview Heights Care Center in Marshalltown.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory chapel in Marshalltown. Cremation rites have preceded the service. Private family burial will be Oct. 14 in Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Iowa River Hospice.

Mrs. ANDERSON was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of Lester and Viola PITZENBERGER EDSTROM. She married C. Edward BISTLINE May 25, 1947, in Mason City. He died Nov. 27, 1975. She married Harry E. ANDERSON Oct. 27, 1979. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. ANDERSON and her family lived in the Rock Island area until moving to Mason City, where she graduated from high school. She and her first husband lived in Mason City, Northwood and Bloomfield before moving to Fairfield, where Mrs. ANDRESON was employed at Young American Children's Clothing Store. In 1972, they moved to Tama where they owned and operated BISTLINE Clothing Store.

Mrs. ANDERSON and her second husband made their home in Marshalltown. Mrs. ANDERSON retired in 1980 after closing the clothing store in Tama.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown and was active in the women's circles. She was a member of the Marshalltown Lioness and the Elks Lodge. She was a long-time volunteer at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center auxiliary. She had also served as president and board member of the Bobcat Estates.

She enjoyed golfing, playing cards and board games, photography, baking and cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara WILKINS and husband John of Norwalk; one daughter-in-law, Diane BISTLINE of Carroll; two stepdaughters, Nancene WENGERT of Ames and Peggy WILLITS and husband Larry of Marshalltown; one sister, Delores CAVANAUGH of Rosemont, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dennis BISTLINE.
