SMITH, Leroy Milton, Jr. -- Leroy Milton SMITH Jr., 47, of West Burlington, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, in the Great River Medical Center emergency room in West Burlington.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Shane McCampbell officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Prugh Funeral Service chapel in Burlington.

A memorial has been established in Mr. SMITH's memory.

Mr. SMITH was born Feb. 4, 1960, in Fairfield, the son of Leroy and Velma ROBINSON SMITH.

Mr. SMITH worked on the loading dock for Tyson Foods.

He belonged to the Baptist Church.

Mr. SMITH liked NASCAR, World Wrestling Entertainment and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and outings with his children.

Survivors include one daughter, Stacia R. SMITH of West Burlington; one son, Jordan Lee SMITH of West Burlington; his father, Leroy SMITH Sr. and wife Sheila of Fairfield; his mother, Velma SMITH of Burlington; two sisters, Denise PEARSON of Burlington and Charity SMITH of Fairfield; two brothers, Marty SMITH of Alexandria, Va., and Jeffrey SMITH of Chicago; and fiancee Kelli SAYLOR of West Burlington.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
