Mrs. Bretz Buried Today in Cemetery Near Danville, Ia.

Funeral services were held at the grave in Jaggar Cemetery near Danville today for Mrs. Margaret Bretz, former resident of Danville, who died in Friendship hospital, Friendship, Wis., suddenly Tuesday, after a short illness.

The body was brought to the Burnet-Wallen funeral home here after services yesterday afternoon in Friendship Congregational church, conducted by the Rev. Walter Taylor, pastor of that church. He accompanied the the family to Burlington and conducted the committment service in Danville. The cortege left the Burlington funeral home at 2 p.m. and the Danville service was at 3.

Mrs. Bretz was the daughter of Elmer England and Jane W. England and was born April 4, 1896 at Beckwith, Ia. Most of her early life was spent in her native state. She was married June 12, 1911 to Ira A. Brown and to this union was born a son, Ira A. Brown, Jr., who later took the name of his maternal grandparents and is known as Ira A. England.

During the flu epidemic of 1918 she enrolled in the Red Cross nursing staff and later entered St. Anne's hospital training school in Chicago from which she graduated in 1926 after which she entered general practice as a trained nurse.

She was married Oct. 3, 1928 to Charles A. Bretz, the couple making their home in Friendhip where Mr. Bretz was in the postal service. Mr. Bretz died July 19, 1930. Following his death she went to Iowa ro her home with her parents in Ottumwa. Later, she and her parents moved to Friendship where they had resided since.

Her near surviving relatives are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer England,, her son, Ira A. England, all of Friendship, and a brother, Laurance England of Chicago.
