WILLHOIT, R. Eloise -- R. Eloise WILLHOIT, 79, of Batavia, died at 1:21 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at home.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Northgate Alliance Church, with the Rev. Doug Grogan officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home, with the family present from 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northgate Alliance church or Grace Family Church.

Mrs. WILLHOIT was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Wapello County, the daughter of Melvin E. and Edna Mae ROBERTSON WHITTINGTON. she married Carl WILLHOIT Feb. 28, 1949, in Ottumwa.

A 1944 graduate of Farson High School, Mrs. WILLHOIT had been a resident of the Batavia area most of her life.

She was a member of Northgate Alliance Church in Ottumwa.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Terry WILLHOIT and wife Marsha and Mark WILLHOIT and wife Becky, all of Batavia; four grandchildren; and one brother, Lloyd WHITTINGTON of Oshkosh, Wis.

She was preceded in death by one son, Glen WILLHOIT; two sisters, Marjorie DUKE and Carol STANLEY; and two brothers, Paul and Vernon WHITTINGTON.
