Robert A. Willey Dies At Fairfield
Fairfield - Robert Allen Willey, 27, passed away Friday morning at 5:30 o'clock at his home at 803 West Lowe Street. He had been a patient at Sunnyslope sanitorium at Ottumwa for the past three years and three months, and had returned to Fairfield to spend the holidays with his family. While here he had contracted a severe cold which proved fatal.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's church with Father Thoman officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Hoskins funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Willey was born August 25, 1917, in New London, Ia. He was a former molder at the Iowa Malleable Iron Co.
Surviving are his wife and 5 year old daughter, Marcia Jean, of Fairfield, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Willey of New London, two sisters, Ida Brown of New London and Mrs. Alice Gilleard of Fairfield, three brothers, Wesley of New London, John of Fairfield and Frank in the U.S. Navy.
