BAEDKE, Betty L. -- Betty L. BAEDKE, 77, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Maplewood Manor in Keota.

Mrs. BAEDKE deeded her remains to the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

A memorial has been established to Maplewood Manor; memorials may be sent to Gould Funeral Home in Richland or to Robert SCHMITT at 27570 330th Ave., Keota 52248.

Mrs. BAEDKE was born Sept. 6, 1929, the daughter of John and Lucille MULGRAVE GRIMES.

Mrs. BAEDKE worked as a registered nurse in Iowa, Washington and Missouri for many years. She had been a resident of Maplewood Manor for two years.

Survivors include two sons, Mike SCHMITT and wife Deb of Dubuque and Robert SCHMITT and wife Tina of Keota; and five grandchildren, including Jacob SCHMITT of Ollie.

Her parents, who lived in Richland, preceded her in death.
