BICH, Willie -- Willie BICH, 78, of Fairfield, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Ernie Hinkle speaking. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family at 200 N. 28th St., Lot 37, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. BICH was born Aug. 31, 1928, the son of Thomas and Sophia SCHLECHT BICH. He married Viola HINKLE May 5, 1978, in Mount Pleasant.

Mr. BICH was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. BICH lived in Fairfield the last 17 years. He retired from Heatilator Fireplace in Mount Pleasant.

His hobbies included collecting hats, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife; five children, Terri COX of Kentucky, Kim CHARBONNEAU of Nebraska, Bill BICH of Virginia, Diana CHANDLER of Alabama and Mary WADAM of Fairfield; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one son.
