TEETER, Roberta Ruth -- Roberta Ruth TEETER, age 85, of Gravois Mills, Missouri, formerly of Fairfield, passed away June 28, 2007, at the Laurie Care Center in Laurie, Missouri. She was born March 15, 1922, in Douds, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and May ROUSH EVANS.

On March 22, 1941, she married Francis E. CANNY of Eldon, Iowa. He was killed in the Battle of Normandy. They had one daughter, Delores Elaine. On March 20, 1946, she married Gerald "Shorty" M. TEETER of Eldon, Iowa, who preceded her in death on December 21, 1991.

Roberta was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a caregiver, and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived in Fairfield, Iowa, for 60 years. After recovering from an accident, she moved to Laurie, Missouri, to be closer to family.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Harley EDGERTON of Gravois Mills, Missouri; her grand-daughter, Kimberly Sue GUDDE and husband Michael and her great-granddaughter, Tiffany Deanne GUDDE all of Warrensburg, Missouri; one brother, Donald Richard STAGERS of Ottumwa, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Dan STAGERS, three sisters, Leta SWANK, Leona SIDWELL, and Evelyn YOUNG, two brothers, Stanley EVANS and Jasper EVANS, and her grandson Gerald Kirk EDGERTON.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2007, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa, with Reverend Edward Parker officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Laurie Care Center Activities Fund or the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary. To send online condolences visit www.kidwellgarber.com.
