CARY, Doris Eleanor -- Doris Eleanor CARY, 77, formerly of Packwood, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with her son, the Rev. Danny Cary, and the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst co-officiating. Interment will follow in Packwood Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hopewell Church. Cards and memorials may be sent to 2754 189th Blvd., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. CARY was born July 15, 1929, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Edgar W. and Martha A. SUMMERS McINTIRE. She married Orville "Dean" CARY May 23, 1954, in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. He died May 14, 1991.

Mrs. CARY lived most of her life in the Packwood community, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1947. She attended Parsons College and received her teaching certificate. She was a farm homemaker. She and her husband ministered the Hopewell Church for 17 years.

Mrs. CARY was a member of People's Church. She was a 4-H leader and gospel worker for AFMC.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and gardening.

Survivors include three children, Rebecca L. TURNER and husband Steve of Fairfield, Danny D. CARY and wife Laura of Fairfield and Diana J. GOTT and husband Jerry of Ollie; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth M. McINTIRE.
