ABRAHAMS, Catherine Dorothy -- Catherine Dorothy ABRAHAMS, 80, of Kallispell, Mont., died Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Heritage Place, Kallispell.

A graveside service is set for 11 a.m. Thursday in Zion Lutheran Cemetery east of Douds, with the Rev. Harold Schnedler officiating.

Memorials to Heartland Humane Society of Ottumwa may be left at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua or mailed to the family at PO Box 249, Keosauqua 52565.

Mrs. ABRAHAMS was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Arthur and Martha JACKSON DOROTHY. She married Ronald MOCK, then later married Carlos ABRAHAMS. They divorced.

Mrs. ABRAHAMS lived in Keosauqua, Douds and Ottumwa. She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1944. She attended college in France and graduated from the University of California-Los Angeles with a degree in social work.

She was employed by the U.S. government in France, was a social worker and county probation officer in California and a family therapist in private practice in San Francisco.

She was active in the Unity Church.

Survivors include one brother James A. DOROTHY of Keosauqua.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Esther DOROTHY; and her aunt and uncle Bertha and Stanley BARKER, with whom she lived for a time during childhood.
