WEBB, Sarah J. -- Sarah J. WEBB, 94, formerly of Batavia, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Good Samaritan Center in Ottumwa.

A funeral wil be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Batavia United Methodist Church, with Dennis Hull and the Revs. Bob Dvorak and Dan Davis officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.

Open visitation will began (sic) at noon today at Kremer Funeral Chapel in Batavia, where the family will be present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to Batavia United Methodist Church.

Mrs. WEBB was born May 13, 1912, in Eddyville, the daughter of Lafayette and Ida Ellen ROBERTS GRIGGS. She married Russell J. WEBB May 29, 1935, in Ottumwa. He died Aug. 17, 1985.

Mrs. WEBB was raised and educated in Eddyville. She moved to Batavia in 1935 and lived in the same house from 1938-2002. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. WEBB was a member of Batavia United Methodist Church, United Methodist Womens Group and the ODA Club.

Survivors include three daughters, Joanne GLOTFELTY of Victor, Betty DURFLINGER of Green Top, Mo., and Patti WHITHAM of Madrid; two sons, Wyman WEBB of Ottumwa and James WEBB of Anoka, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson; three brothers; and three sisters.
