SLUTTS, Theodore R. -- Theodore R. SLUTTS, 94, of Waterloo, formerly of Douds and Ottumwa, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Gwinnette Medical Center in Duluth, Ga.
A service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Anthony SLUTZ officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.
Family visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Thompson Road Baptist Church may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the church at 1700 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
Mr. SLUTTS was born Aug. 17, 1912, near Douds, the son of Samuel N. and Martha CRANE SLUTTS. He married Mary Margaret MOORE. She died Aug. 6, 2006.
Mr. SLUTTS graduated from Douds-Leando High School. He was employed at Douds Quarry and retired from the position of supervisor at John Deere Ottumwa Works.
He was a member of Hagerman Baptist Church in Waterloo and more recently Thompson Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include four children, Mary Ann WILSON and husband Tom of Lilburn, Ga., Nancy ROLLINS and husband John of Waterloo, Anthony SLUTZ and wife Ellen of Indianapolis, Ind., and Carol RUDKIN and husband Bob of Boise, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Teddy; his parents; one brother, Albert; and two sisters, Rosa Mae SLUTTS and Della HILL.
