RUNYON, Ruth L. -- Ruth L. RUNYON, 80, of rural Hillsboro, died at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Doerr officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Hillsboro Baptist Church.

Mrs. RUNYON was born Oct. 14, 1926, in rural Stockport, the daughter of George France and Bertha Ellen STANDLEY WATSON. She married William L. "Billy" RUNYON Nov. 7, 1948, in Fairfield.

Mrs. RUNYON lived all her adult life in rural Hillsboro. She was a housewife.

Mrs. RUNYON was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church.

She enjoyed making quilts for her family.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Doris CARR and husband Tom of Keosauqua; thres sons, Richard and wife Karen of Spokane, Wash., Daryl and wife Dianne of Hillsboro and Robert and wife Bev of Stockport; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda RUNYON of Hillsboro; 13 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry; one grandson; six brothers, Beryl, Hollis, Loren, Edward, Waldon and one infant; and two sisters, Loretha HEISEL and Laurel BLOOMQUIST.
