ROLAND, Patricia Ann -- Patricia Ann ROLAND, 75, of Fairfield, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 28, 2007, at Park View Care Center in Fairfield.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Libertyville Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Renken officiating. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Red Cross of Wapello County, ARC of Jefferson County or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are in the care of Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa.
Mrs. ROLAND was born Jan. 30, 1932, in Ainsworth, the daughter of Robert and Virginia THOMPSON REECE. She married Don CARRUTHERS. They divorced. She then married Raymond E. ROLAND Dec. 18, 1979, in Keosauqua.
Mrs. ROLAND worked for a number of retailers in Fairfield and also was a school bus driver in Keosauqua for 13 years.
She helped establish the American Red Cross blood bank in Keosauqua.
Mrs. ROLAND enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, flowers and sewing.
Survivors include her husband; six sons, Merril Lee CARRUTHERS and wife Joanne of West Burlington, Sammy David CARRUTHERS of Keosauqua, Donald Ray CARRUTHERS and wife Debbie of Birmingham, Robert Paul CARRUTHERS and Jack Alan CARRUTHERS, both of Keosauqua, and Ron ROLAND of Fairfield; one daughter, Debi SAMMONS and husband Steve of Mount Pleasant; two sisters, Nancy L. HARRYMAN of Fairfield and Mary Lou GENTRY of Manchester, Tenn.; two brothers, Kenneth G. REECE of Drexel, Mo., and Thomas D. REECE of Appleton, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
