PARISH, Muriel V. -- Muriel V. PARISH, 99, of Keosauqua, died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling.
Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will be present from 4:30-6 p.m.
Memorials to the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center activity fund or Harness Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1699 PR1272, Huntsville, MO 65259.
Mrs. PARISH was born Oct. 2, 1907, south of Mount Sterling in Scotland County, Mo., the daughter of George and Vigis HANKS KERR. She married Ray PARISH. He died Sept. 28, 1972.
Mrs. PARISH and her husband farmed in Scotland County. She moved to Keosauqua in 1989 and had lived at the Good Samaritan Center since Dec. 31, 2003.
Mrs. PARISH was affiliated with the former Asbury and Mount Sterling Methodist churches.
Survivors include one niece, Dorothy TWEEDY of Keosauqua and one sister-in-law, Doris PARISH of the Good Samaritan Center.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Opal CLINE.
